According to the Point-in-Time count in 2022, Riverside County had a total of 3316 homeless individuals of which 150 persons were seniors aged 60+. In order to serve these people we must work together collaboratively to present service options to our Community. What We Do
Community Jibe is a pending 501c3 nonprofit organization that offers a safe place for vulnerable individuals to discharge from the hospital. We provide those experiencing homelessness an opportunity to stabilize when they no longer require hospitalization but still need to heal from an illness or injury. Community Jibe has developed a unique harm reduction program that provides recuperative care (also known as medical respite) to individuals who are too sick to return to their previous place of living but do not require a hospital level of care.
Our facilities allow individuals to continue their recovery and treatment for minor illnesses. Our medical staff, substance use counselors, and case managers facilitate access to primary care, behavioral health services, and other supportive social services, such as transportation, food, and housing.
Community Jibe saves taxpayer dollars and leads to fewer hospital readmissions.
